Im an OTR driver running Flat bed and i wear these gloves every week little stiff at first but they hold up great to all the sharp edges on metal that I haul

I live on the third floor and use a rope pulley system (1 to1) to lower trash, bags and other items up to 50 lbs. These gloves replaced my old worn out pair and have held up nicely. I use them on a daily basis and really like the grip, protection and feel. These pics show my old gloves (fire fighter gloves) for comparison and the level of use. I'll update this post in a month or so to show how they've held up. My only dislike is the color but, that's just me being really picky.

I have a few pair of caiman’s and they are all great. These are pretty thick in the palm as you would imagine being for rappelling but still work good for rigging.

I used these for my first time rappelling. They worked great, and they're comfortable enough that I will use them for other tasks. That said, heavy leather gloves from a hardware store are fine too, but these obviously look cooler, so, they get 5 stars.

These gloves are great. Quick and easy to break in. I was not expecting the gloves to be padded on the back hand of the glove not a big issue. The tips of the fingers have a silver reflective coating this seems to be flaking off. Still would buy these again.

These gloves are the best gloves i have ever used!!!
I run a tree company ground support team. I make many (50+ per day) high risk limb letdowns every day using ropes. I have tried so many different kinds of gloves made from many many different companies. Some ok gloves would last at best 1 week, and they would have rope burn holes and I would have burns on my hands.
Soon as I bought my first pair of CAIMAN 2984 Rappelling gloves I could tell from the first use with rope that these gloves ARE THE BEST ROPING GLOVES I HAVE EVER USED!!! A pair of my other gloves would last 1 week at most. These Caiman 2984 gloves are 2 months old now and they are still going strong. I will use these gloves for the rest of my life. They fit perfect and last 25 times longer than any other gloves out there.
Advantages: The gloves fit nice and tight, fingers are correct length NOT floppy ends. NOT to short they rip in the middle of the fingers.
I do 50+ rope letdowns with heavy limbs every day and I HAVE NOT burned my CAIMAN 2984 ever.
Gloves are NOT so thick you lose feeling. I tie and untie rope knots all day long with great feeling through the gloves. I wear my 2984 gloves to do the rope work, drag brush, carry wood, run chainsaw.
LAST 25 TIMES LONGER THAN ANY OTHER GLOVES I HAVE EVER TRIED

COLOR HELPS YOUR HAND BE SEEN
Disadvantages: THERE ARE ZERO DISADVANTAGES TO THESE GLOVES

Fit tight at first but once broken in fit great. Stiching has lasted 3 months so far and I play with chains, metal bars and bricks with them.
